While I was in the holy shrine of Imam Ali b. Musa al-Reza, I received the news of the demise of the pious and senior Islamic jurisprudent Ayatollah Hāj Sayyid Muhammad Hussini Shahroudi with great sadness and deep regret.
The Shahroudi family is a family of profound knowledge and jurisprudence and is considered to be among the prominent ones in the Islamic seminaries of Najaf and Qom. This senior Islamic jurisprudent was one of the prominent instructors, and a large number of scholars and theology students benefited from his profound knowledge and scholarly works which he authored to promote the culture of Ahul-Bayt, peace be upon them.
I extend my condolences over the demise of this jurisprudent to the Imam of Age, Wali al-Asr (May Allah hasten his reappearance), the Islamic seminaries, his esteemed family, particularly his sons and brothers, and I pray to Almighty Allah to elevate the rank of this late blessed jurisprudent in the hereafter.
