According to the official website of His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani (may he live long), in a meeting with Iran's minister of science, His Eminence said, "We must show the world that Islam supports and approves of all branches and disciplines of science. If we look back at history, we will find out that great scholars like Avicenna took the monotheistic and divine aspects of knowledge into consideration but following the domination of the Western powers over Islamic countries and their cultural assaults on Muslim society, the sciences began to be secularized by them."

His Eminence highlighted the need for paying attention to moral nurture and education of people as well as to identifying the talents among in the masses. "The officials must work to identity the talents among the people they work with. According to the sayings of our infallible leaders, all those in authority are responsible towards their subjects and they must fulfill their responsibility as best as they possibly can," His Eminence reiterated.

Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani referred to the duty of deans, professors and those in charge of university syllabuses saying, "Today, it is highly essential that Nahjul Balaghah lessons and the principles of traditions that are coherent with the scientific disciplines in the university are taught therein."

His Eminence went one saying that spiritual purification and moral education have been highly recommended by the infallible leaders of Islam. "The best teachers must be chosen for the students so that their education and tarbiyah are guaranteed. Those in charge of the academia and institutions of higher learning must choose teachers and lecturers from the most faithful, committed and practicing people so that the students are educated and trained based on Islamic values," His Eminence stressed.

His Eminence underscored the importance of Islamization of humanities and said that the Westerners have compiled and prepared humanities based on their own non-Islamic and non-divine opinions. "The Muslim society must have Islamic humanities so that the students may have to study humanities that have been extracted from within the religious scripture," he stressed.

Highlighting the need for strengthening the relationship between the seminary (Hawzah) and university as the two main centers of knowledge, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani said, "In the early period of Islam, people learned the sciences together. However, today the imperial powers hatched a conspiracy which led to separation between Hawzah and University. In other words, it was the colonialist and arrogant powers that separated the Hawzah from the university. The stronger the relationship between the Hawzah and university, the more progress the religion of Islam will attain."
