Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani met with foreign guests and scholars who had been invited to International Islamic Unity Conference. Addressing the guests, His Eminence said that the Saudi regime is supporting Israel and the US. He stressed that the Muslim nations across the world are united among them no matter where they are. Unity of Muslim nations helps them overcome their problem. "The Muslim nations are always standing united and together, and we never allow anyone to disrespect and insult Muslims' sacred symbols," he said.
His Eminence went on saying that unity is one of the conspicuous and essential teachings of the religion of Islam but it does not mean compromising on your values and principles. "We Muslims have common goals and common enemies, and our common enemies are the US and Israel, and our common goal is to free Quds and destroy Israel," he noted.
Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani further added, "The US is hostile to the Iranian nation because the Iranian nation is committed to supporting the oppressed and the weakened people across the world including the people of Yemen, Syria and other Muslim nations."
"To be united and to maintain unity is tremendously important; the main agenda is to destroy Israel and set Quds free because late Imam Khomeini (ra) stressed time and again that insofar as this vicious and cancerous tumor exists, the Muslim nations will continue to have problems," he added.
Stressing on the need to move in a direction which pleases Allah, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani said, "It is our goal to abide by the Quran, religious teachings and the school of Ahlulbayt (AS). The Holy Quran has emphasized that we know our enemies and not follow them."
Referring to the Saudi regime's support for Israel and the US, His Eminence said that one cannot be a slave of the US and a servant of the Two Sanctuaries simultaneously. He further stressed that the Muslim nations across the world are united among themselves no matter where they are. Unity helps them overcome the problem.
Ayatollah Noori Hamedani, the great religious authority of the Shia world, further said, "The Islamic Unity Conference attended by Muslim scholars from all over the world was great and all those who were in charge of holding this splendid conference must be appreciated for their valuable efforts."
